Jamie McDonald Speedway ChampionHitachi Power Tools New Zealand has come on-board with Lawmac Racing again this season as one of their major sponsors. We are very pleased to be part of the In Jamie's first year he won the North Island champs, the Grand Prix and placed 3rd in the N.Z champs. Within 3 years Jamie had placed 3NZ, 2NZ and 1NZ, in that order, meaning he had won every major title including the Heritage shield and the Gold Cup. Since then Jamie and his team have won the Springs National Series along with many more Feature race wins around the country as well as contesting the Queensland title last year at Archerfield Speedway in Brisbane and finishing in the top 10. Hitachi's sponsorship agreement includes improving the team's inventory of workshop power tools, upgrading them to the latest state of the art 5.0Ah Energy and Brushless motor technology. "The last thing you need in the heat of a race meet is for your tools to let you down" Jamie says. "Already we've experienced first hand the massive improvement Hitachi's technology has given us when it comes to working on the car under pressure and severe time constraints." Keep an eye out for the new Hitachi-Wynns team taking that performance to the track this season and keep up to date with the team here. ![]() |
