 A great leap forward in sander/polisher technology.  With such a wide range of surfaces being
finished, and with ultra-modern polishing compounds, a more versatile sander/polisher was
required.  Hitachi has succeeded in providing such a machine.  Utilising 'soft-start', constant
speed control' and electronic 'overload protection' for optimal sanding/polishing efficiency, this
powerful 1250W unit features twin variable speed controls.  A dial-up speed control sets the
RPM for any particular job, while the variable speed trigger allows the operator to start off slowly
and maintain complete control up to the preset maximum speed.  Compact and lightweight, the
SP18VA features spindle lock and a user-friendly loop side handle (can be fitted with a tradition-
al side handle if prefered).  Its durable design provides better heat dissipation, extending the
life of bearings and other internal components.  Supplied with 180mm rubber pad and woollen
polishing bonnet.
